Description

The receptors are ligand binding factors of type 1, 2 or 3 and protein-molecules that receive chemical-signals from outside a cell. When such chemical-signals couple or bind to a receptor, they cause some form of cellular/tissue-response, e.g. a change in the electrical-activity of a cell. In this sense, am olfactory receptor is a protein-molecule that recognizes and responds to endogenous-chemical signals, chemokinesor cytokines e.g. an acetylcholine-receptor recognizes and responds to its endogenous-ligand, acetylcholine. However, sometimes in pharmacology, the term is also used to include other proteins that are drug-targets, such as enzymes, transporters and ion-channels.

Properties

For facs or microscopy Alexa 1 conjugate.Alexa Fluor 633 is a practical alternative to APC as well as Cy5. Bioss Primary Conjugated Antibodies. ALEXA FLUOR made this Alexa Fluor 633 conjugate that can be used in multi-color flow cytometry with instruments equipped with a second red laser or red diode. It is detected in the FL4 detector of the core's upgraded 2-laser FACScans. Like other Alexa Fluor dyes, the Anti-5HT3D + 5HT3E Receptor exhibits uncommon photo stability, making it an ideal choice for fluorescent microscopy. If you buy Antibodies supplied by Bioss Primary Conjugated Antibodies. ALEXA FLUOR they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.

Background of the antigen

Serotonin is a monoamine neurotransmitter that is made in serotonergic neurons in the CNS (central nervous system) and is important in the regulation of mood, sleep, vomiting, sexuality and appetite. 5-HT3 (5-hydroxytryptamine-3) receptor is the only ligand-gated ion channel within the family of serotonin receptors. It is composed of five subunits consisting of SR-3A, SR-3B, HTR3C, HTR3D and HTR3E. HTR3D (5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 3D), also known as Serotonin receptor 3D, is a 454 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that is one components of the pentaheteromeric complex that forms the 5-HT3 receptor. HTR3D must be co-expressed with SR-3A to form a functional 5-HT3 receptor complex on the plasma membrane. Until it is complexed with SR-3A, HTR3D is localized within the endoplasmic reticulum. Expression of HTR3D is restricted to kidney, colon and liver. There are three different isoforms of HTR3D that are expressed as a result of alternative splicing events.
