Also known as

delta 1 Catenin (Tyr228) Antibody

Properties

For facs or microscopy Alexa 1 conjugate.

Specificity

This antibody reacts specifically with delta 1 Catenin (Tyr228)

Cross reactive species

Human (Homo sapiens), Mouse (Mus musculus), Rat (Rattus norvegicus)

Storage

Water buffered solution containing 100ug/ml BSA, 50% glycerol and 0.09% sodium azide. Store at 4°C for 12 months.

Antigen Source

KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human delta 1 Catenin around the phosphorylation site of Tyr228

Description

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

Cross Reactive Species details

No significant cross reactivity has been observed for this antibody for the tested species. However, note that due to limited knowledge it is impossible to predict with 100% guarantee that the antibody does not corss react with any other species.

Synonyms

delta 1 Catenin phospho Y228; p-delta 1 Catenin phospho Y228; Cadherin associated Src substrate; Cadherin-associated Src substrate; CAS; Catenin cadherin associated protein delta 1; Catenin delta 1; Catenin delta-1; CTND1_HUMAN; CTNND 1; CTNND; CTNND1; KIAA0384; p120; P120 CAS; p120 catenin; P120 CTN; p120cas; p120ctn; P120CAS; P120CTN.

Advisory

Avoid freeze/thaw cycles as they may denaturate the polypeptide chains of the antibody, thus reducing its reactivity, specificity and sensitivity. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

Background information

Binds to and inhibits the transcriptional repressor ZBTB33, which may lead to activation of target genes of the Wnt signaling pathway (By similarity). May associate with and regulate the cell adhesion properties of both C- and E-cadherins. Implicated both in cell transformation by SRC and in ligand-induced receptor signaling through the EGF, PDGF, CSF-1 and ERBB2 receptors. Promotes GLIS2 C-terminal cleavage.
