Background of the antigen

Headpin is a skin-specific, UV-repressible serine proteinase inhibitor (serpin) belonging to the ovalbumin serpin family. Headpin is abundant in the human keratinocyte cell line HaCaT, and in lesional keratinocytes from psoriatic skin.
